Every journey invariably starts with a single step and the journey to scale great heights needs unflinching grit and relentless efforts. With the same determination we had embarked on a journey in 2006 by setting up department of commerce with the course B.Com with computer application. In the year 2012-2014 MBA satellite course was introduced. B.Com(General) and M.Com was introduced in the year 2014 in response to a growing demand for commerce education. The department expanded from single section to double section in the year 2016.

The department has adequate well qualified,competent faculty who are dedicated to the academic and overall development of the student community. This set the department ablaze, constantly striving to offer Ph.D programme in the year 2020. The UG and PG programmes offer an innovative syllabus prescribed by the university which caters to the varying needs of students. The department offers courses in emerging areas enabling students to acquire advanced knowledge in accountancy with a blend of management and communication skills. The department strives to sustain academic excellence and the students are equipped with the skills necessary to face the challenges of the business world. It is a matter of great pride that we find a crossian in every office or firm holding a good position.

There has been much to dream and great steps have been taken towards development. Yet there is far more to do, far more to accomplish and the path to our destiny leads us forward everyday.
